Who Still Wants This Bill?

Published

on

Cassan Said Amer tells a story about a lecturer who began a seminar holding up a one dollar bill, and asking:

– Who wants this dollar bill?

Several hands went up, but the lecturer said:

– Before handing it over, there’s something I must do.

He furiously crushed it, and asked again:

– Who still wants this bill?

The hands continued raised.

– And what if I do this?

He threw it against the wall, letting it fall to the floor, kicked it, stamped in it and again held up the bill – all dirty and crumpled. He repeated the question, and the hands continued to be held high.

– You mustn’t ever forget this scene – said the lecturer. – No matter what I do with this money, it’ll still be a one dollar bill.

“Many times in our lives, we are crushed, stamped on, kicked, maltreated, offended; however, in spite of this, we are still worth the same.”

on

I had the opportunity of connecting with Vincent David, a life coach, a certified basic degree holder of school of leadership and entrepreneurship, a certified degree holder the school of money, certified graduate, school of leadership and national transformation, graduate the entrepreneurship academy. Two time vice chancellor school of leadership and entrepreneurship.

He is the principal consultant of the school of personal development,a monthly paid online workshop that is geared at helping individuals become better versions of themselves.

Vincent David owns the iamvincentdavid website where he shares inspiring articles. See some of his books here.

If you want to be great and successful, you must learn from the great and walk hand-in-hand with them.

As Sir Isaac Newton would put it, “If I have seen farther than others, its because I stood on the shoulder of giants.” Take a moment to learn from this young man, the mistakes he made and how he was able to push through and you won’t be the same again.

Now to the interview proper.

What kind of person are you?

Reply: I am  Vincent David an astute business coach and the youngest in Nigeria. I am a very reserved person, highly inquisitive, and principled also.

Where did you get your entrepreneurial spirit?

Reply: I believe my entrepreneurial spirit came from my late dad, he started sending me to get things for his big provision store at the age of 15. I would count thousands of naira at a tender age. I was exposed to the spirit of enterprenuship at a very young age.

And I further went to sharpen it and get trained by attending a Harvard Business school model business school here in Nigeria.

What makes you stand out comparing the competition in a today’s business world?

Reply: Well, there is no competition, I tell people most times.

The world moves at a global speed and you don’t compete with those in your niche, you model to them by being exceptionally competent.

But hoping by your question I would say my competitive edge and advantage is my unparalleled quest for knowledge and improvement.

What are your hidden inspiration sources? How do you generate new ideas?

Reply: People… My generation… Those in need of my value…above all ignorance. I am inspired when I see an encroachment of ignorance on the minds of people. I generate ideas by discovering problems and providing profitable solutions to them.

As a writer, what best motivates you?

Reply: As a writer, I am motivated when my works produce results in the life of my audience. Results motivates me.

Did you ever give up on an idea?

Reply: No, I don’t give up on ideas, I postpone them. I often advice business men, if an idea does work…. Change strategy, and if the strategy doesn’t work and you don’t have resources to acquire more strategies postpone your idea to the future… Ideas don’t die.

What book has inspired you the most?

Reply: The Bible. That’s my idea and inspiration bank

What is the title of your latest book? Do you have any of your books ready for free download or as a gift? What should we be expecting from you soon?

Yes I have an E-course for free download called building a personal Brand.

But I retracted it lately to edit it and upgrade it and added greater VALUE to it as I have been informed better and it’s still for free download. When am done with the editing, it will be available again here.

What do you do on daily basis as a life coach?

Reply: I read, I think, I add value to people, I make impact and I make money.

What is your opinion on the following question: Are entrepreneurs originally born as such or are they raised?

Reply: No, entrepreneurs are not born. They are trained to become one.

The Bean plant in a bean seed will die, even with its potential if it’s denied of water. That’s the same fate with entrepreneurship.

It’s a potential in everyone but without nurture will die a natural death.

What is your definition of success?

Reply: Success by my own terms is fulfilling the original purpose and intent of the creator for a creature. That’s Success by my definition.

What would your advice to the start-up entrepreneurs do?

Reply: Go for trainings!!!! Don’t do things by yourself. You will fall! Don’t try and try and try and keep failing, they is a way the things you are struggling to do can be done with ease.

There is a way to handle money.
They is a way to pull cash through into your business. They is a way to maximize seasons.

Business is products and service + strategy. No strategy, no business!!

That’s my advice, because I made a terrible mistake in the area.

What sacrifices have you made to be a successful entrepreneur?

Reply: A lot! A lot! A lot! I have sacrificed my life. Denied myself of sleep. Sacrificed my health.

Invested Tons of cash. Entrepreneurship is hard work. But we are pulling through.
